Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, especially when that woman is internationally-beloved pop star Sabrina Carpenter.
The 25-year-old "Espresso" singer brought her Short n' Sweet tour to Ireland this week and took time in her Dublin show on Monday (March 3) to reportedly throw shade at her ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan, who hails from Summerhill, Dublin, per the Mirror.
Just before she performed her song "Please Please Please," the track for which Keoghan starred in the original music video, Carpenter appeared to make a joke at the 32-year-old Saltburn actor's expense months after their breakup by admitting that men from Ireland are "hard work."
"Dublin, it's so lovely to be here. You all look and sound amazing," she said, before seemingly take a shot at her ex in front of his hometown crowd. "But my goodness, these Irish boys are hard work."
Carpenter and Keoghan reportedly dated for about a year, with reports that their relationship was "on and off," before the pair split in December 2024.
A source at the time said they decided to "take a break" as they were both focused on their respective careers; however, Page Six notes that rumors circulated online that Keoghan had cheated on the star with influencer Breckie Hill, who has since denied the accusations.
