Ye is facing a new lawsuit from a former employee who claimed the artist verbally abused and bullied her with antisemitic text messages until he ultimately fired her.
According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday, February 11, the artist formerly known as Kanye West was sued by a woman who worked as a marketing specialist Yeezy from late 2023 to summer 2024. The plaintiff, who's only identified as Jane Doe, said Ye began to make her feel "endangered" after he released his VULTURES album last January. She suggested that Ye denounce all ties to Nazism, to which he responded "I am a Nazi" in a text message.
Jane Doe accused Ye of verbally abusing her in group chats with other employees. He allegedly called her a "heartless psychopath," and told her to "Cut the bull***." He also told her to "shut the f*** up bitch" and "F*** out of here" His hateful demeanor continued when he texted her things like "You ugly as f**k," "You piece of s**t," "F**k you b***h" and "You stupid a** corny b***h." He even told her and other employees "Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler" and "Hail Hitler."
Following his tirade against her, Ye told her, "You what's left after I said deathcon," which she took as a direct threat. The phrase was a nod to his controversial 2022 post on X, formerly known as Twitter, in which he said "I'm going death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE." After enduring this behavior from Ye over several months, Jane Doe finally had enough and reported the artist's messages to her manager. Once he found out about her complaint, Ye fired her.
Jane Doe is suing for unspecified damages. Her legal action comes days after Ye signed off X for good after spending the weekend posting more offensive comments towards the Jewish community and more. As of this report, neither Ye nor his team have commented on the lawsuit.
