Good news for motorists that travel through downtown Beaumont. At Noon this past Friday, the barricades were removed and the streets around the Gilbert Building were reopened. The streets were closed following the June 6th fire that gutted the building. The roads may need to be reclosed during high winds of 40 mph or greater.
