A Woodville police office is recovering after being shot in the face yesterday. Officer Tony Costello was
shot while approaching a vehicle following a pursuit. The suspect, 41-year old Reginal Owens of
Hemphill, ran into a wooded area. He was armed with a gun and was shot and killed after refusing
commands from other officers. Officer Costello is recovering at a Houston hospital.
