A Calcasieu Parish deputy sheriff, accused of inappropriately touching a minor child, has been
fired. 42-year old James C Trahan, of Moss Bluff, had been in law enforcement for more than
15 years. The investigation began this past weekend after the victim told investigators that
Trahan had been inappropriately touching her since she was six years old. Trahan was taken
into custody. His bond set at $450,000.
