Katy Perry has been booked and busy amid her pregnancy during the COVID-19 quarantine. And yet, the star has still found time to focus on preparing for her baby-to-be, as per her recent interview with British station Hits Radio.
During the chat, Perry, 35, unveiled the nickname she's come up with for the daughter whom she is expecting later this summer with fiancé Orlando Bloom, 43. "I call her Kicky Perry sometimes," she joked during the chat, adding, "I love a pun."
As she nears the end of her pregnancy, the Tomorrowland Festival headliner also revealed how helpful Bloom has been in getting her up on her feet, saying, "I am waddling like a duck. I'm breathing heavily. I'm a full-on mouth breather. It's loud and obnoxious." Bloom, who has a 9-year-old son with ex Miranda Kerr, has also been supportive on the shopping end of things, in particular when it comes to strollers.
"He knew exactly the stroller," she explained of a recent outing. "Some of the strollers are very chic. They've got leather handles. I was really drawn to them, and he was like, 'No, let me show what the stroller is. It's this one you pick up in the middle and it collapses. It's like an umbrella.' I was like, 'I'm so grateful that you know this.' I would've gotten some large, hunky thing ... It was very cute."
In addition to her baby girl, Perry is also expecting another big release: her fifth studio album, Smile. The collection, which has spawned singles "Daises" and the self-titled track, is set for release on August 14.
