Harvey's Rainfall Record May Be Higher Than Officials Thought

"The 51.88 inches of rainfall recorded during Tropical Storm Harvey in late August may no longer be the record, the National Weather Service told the Houston Chronicle on Wednesday morning. 

Liberty County actually may have received even more.

The weather service said the record rainfall data are taking an extended amount of time to confirm." Source: chron.com
