Billie Eilish Could Become the Youngest Artist to win 'Album of the Year'

Every year, the Grammys celebrate excellence in the music industry and while many of the show's biggest winners have been in their early twenties or thirties, teenage artists have rarely won big. The current record for youngest artist to win 'Album of the Year' is held by Taylor Swift, who won with her album Fearless in 2010 at age 20. The record was previously held by Alanis Morissette who won 'Album of the Year' for her album Jagged Little Pill in 1996 at age 21. However, the top honor could, for the first time, be taken home by an artist in their teens at the 2020 Grammy Awards. Billie Eilish has shot to global stardom over the past year, with her album When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart earlier this year. Because of this, there is already buzz that the album will earn Billie Eilish a nomination at next year's Grammys. By the time of the 2020 Grammy Awards, Billie Eilish will be only 18 years old. If she does end up nominated and also wins, Eilish will overtake Swift as the youngest artist to win 'Album of the Year.'

In the meantime, you can look forward to Billie Eilish gracing the iHeart Day Stage at the 2019 iHeart Radio Music Festival on September 21, 2019!
