In Tyler County, a man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 15-year old student at his
martial arts studio in Woodville. Troy Lee Smith Jr. was then sentenced to eight years in prison.
The student reported the assaults to the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office in 2018, saying the
sexual assaults occurred for several months at the Martial Arts Academy.
