YUNGBLUD Releases Punk-Infused New Single & Video For 'Strawberry Lipstick'

It's been nearly three months since we've gotten a new YUNGBLUD song but the wait is finally over!

On Thursday (July 16), Dom released his new single, “Strawberry Lipstick, along with its accompanying music video and it is a punk rock masterpiece.

YUNGBLUD first started teasing the song at the beginning of the month and then released a teaser video where he lit his 21st Century Liability jacket on fire to ring in the new era.

As the track opens, YUNGBLUD proclaims, “This is a song about a person I love” before the drums and guitars kick in. In the video, Dom is dressed in the same Union Jack dress and spiked red hair featured in his previous teaser and there are a lot of strawberries.

Along with his band (and an adorable dog), L.A.-based singer/songwriter Jesse Jo Stark stars in the video alongside YUNGBLUD giving us major Sid and Nancy vibes. It's safe to say YUNGBLUD gets his daily dose of fruits in the video as he's seen shoving handfuls of strawberries in his mouth while wearing a chained leash.

The video is a good visual for the song's lyrics in which YUNGBLUD sings in the second verse: “She got my heart in her hands like a headlock / I can't see straight, ten seconds past five o'clock / I don't know what she's doing, but she'll do me wrong / She's such a tease.”

“Strawberry Lipstick” will be featured on YUNGBLUD's upcoming sophomore release which is slated to drop this year. He's also teased a demo of an unreleased song called “The Lonely And The Broken” during his Stay Home With: YUNGBLUD YouTube Series.
