Brad Pitt's Relationship With Son Maddox Is Reportedly 'Nonexistent'

Well, this update about Brad Pitt's relationship with his children is a major bummer. According to a new report from Us Weekly, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor remains estranged from two of his six kids. Not only is Pitt estranged from his oldest son Maddox Jolie-Pitt—the pair's relationship is reportedly "nonexistent"—he is also now on the outs with his son Pax Jolie-Pitt.

“That relationship continues to be nonexistent,” a source told Us Weekly about Pitt and Maddox, who is currently attending college in South Korea. The source explains that the 56-year-old actor doesn't see Maddox and is not on speaking terms wit 16-year-old Pax, who he shares custody of with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. Though Pitt reportedly has fallen out with his two oldest sons, it's believed he remains close with his three daughters, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, as well as his youngest son Knox Jolie-Pitt.

While both Pitt and Jolie remain relatively tight-lipped about their split, as well as their children's lives, Jolie opened up about her divorce from Pitt in an interview with Vogue earlier this year. "I separated for the wellbeing of my family," she said. "It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing. Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds. In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people."

The last public statement Pitt made about his children was during his acceptance speech at the 2020 Oscar's ceremony. While accepting the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, Pitt said "this is for my kids. You color everything I do. I adore you."
