Happy belated birthday, Blue Ivy Carter!
In celebration of the superstar-in-the-making's 8th birthday on Tuesday (January 7), her grandfather, Mathew Knowles, shared a never-before-seen photo of his granddaughter to Instagram. "Happy Birthday to my beautiful and oldest granddaughter Blue Ivy," Mathew captioned a sweet photo of Blue that showed her posing in a skirt with cherries on it, an orange long-sleeved shirt, and a pink backpack. "Love, Papa G."
As fans know, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's eldest daughter had quite the year in 2019. At just 7-years-old, she earned a Billboard Hot 100 hit record for her part on her mom's single "Brown Skin Girls," which additionally features Saint Jhn and Wizkid. The track debuted on the Hot 100 chart in July, marking her first-ever entry.
Blue capped off the year sharing the camera with her legendary mom for a few New Year's Eve photos with Megan Thee Stallion. And while the little one was surrounded by two of the biggest names to come out of Houston, Texas, Blue was not outshined in the slightest. In fact, she stole the show with her gorgeous smile and slight smize.
In the black-and-white pictures, Blue, who looks exactly like a young Beyoncé, is shown smiling while wearing a black, shimmery top. While Bey and Megan made funny faces for the camera, Blue effortlessly smized and smiled in the photos that further solidified that she's her mom's mini-me, both in terms of beauty and presence.
