Petition Launched To End Jeep Weekend

An online petition is being launched in hopes to end the Go Topless Jeep Weekend at Crystal

Beach Thousands of people have signed the Change.org request which says the annual event

has become too much of a danger for people in Crystal Beach. The petition says party goers

are showing blatant irresponsibility and gross negligence. There were over 600 calls for service

over the weekend in Crystal Beach with dozens of arrests. A 21- year-old man is recovering

from serious injuries he suffered in an accident at the Jeep festival Tanner Francis was riding on

the bed of a pickup truck when he fell out and it ran over his head. His skull was fractured and

he nearly lost his left ear. Francis is able to communicate with his family so far. There

were more than 100 arrests at this year's event, as well as eight major traffic accidents.
