Mother Named Person Of Interest In Death Of 18-Month Old Son

The mother of an infant that died last week, is being called a person of interest in the death,

is jailed in Orange County on an unrelated charge. At this time, 32-year old Raychyl Philmon

is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Her bonds total more that

$37,000. Detectives are questioning her in the death of 18-monty old Raydyn Jones of

Mauriceville. The child died at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. The preliminary autopsy revealed

the child was suffocated. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
