Orange County Pays Off Loan

KLVI News

On November 6th 2018 Orange County Commissioner’s Court voted to approve a Tax Anticipation Note for 8 million dollars. The loan was designed to assist with the cash flow issues we anticipated for the last three months of the calendar year. Due to the restraint in spending by the various Orange County Departments and the diligence of the Treasurer, Christy Khoury, no more than 2 million dollars was ever actually funded. We are pleased to announce that, as of January 10th 2019, the loan has officially been paid off and that debt to the County has ended. Judge Dean Crooks states, “I am thankful for all of the

Orange County Department Heads, Elected Officials and Employees for working together to keep county

cost down during this time.”
