A 14-year-old girl from Miami killed herself on Sunday while live streaming on Facebook from her foster home. Nakia Venant used a scarf and hanged herself from a shower door as helpless friends watched in horror around 3am.

One of her friends called 911, but according to the Miami Herald, police showed up at her door instead. Then she gave police the incorrect address. When police showed up at that address, the residents gave police the correct address, but by the time they arrived at the foster home, it was too late.

Florida Department of Children & Families told the Herald they "will conduct a comprehensive, multidisciplinary special review to examine this child’s history and the circumstances related to serving the child."
