Southern Cali Boy's Slo Mo Run From 3rd Base To Home Plate Goes Viral

When I was a kid my amazing Dad coached our little league baseball team. We were the Dodgers. Our pitcher was a little boy who was a friend of mine. It was so long ago I can't even remember his name. Anyway, at one point during a game, on a hot summer's afternoon, at the little league field in Orange, Tx. my Dad, being the coach that he was, went to the pitcher's mound to talk to our pitcher to help encourage him and give him a little pep talk. One of the lines my Dad told him was "Come on now, let's paint the ball red! Paint the ball red." In baseball talk that means to put some fire or put some heat on the pitch. In other words to "throw it faster." As my Dad began walking back to the dugout our pitcher bent down and started rubbing the baseball in the dirt on the field...the RED dirt. We all had a GREAT laugh at that. It's one of the fondest memories of my childhood to this day!

This is so funny & cute!
